My abstract sculptures are enlarged versions of many things. I laminate plywood, pine, and poplar in a rough form, carve it first with a chainsaw blade on an angle grinder. Then Sand more to get exact form. The forms are then covered with flattened bottle caps , both soda and cool beer caps. Each cap is flaired and flattened by hand with about 10 hits of a mini sledge hammer on a steel block. The caps are nailed on with half inch brad nails, and then finished with two-part epoxy resin. Non toxic type! There is still texture so you are not separated from the caps. The use of steel and antique bases are also used on some pieces.
