Description:
Each piece starts with unspun wool such as merino or bergshaf wool. It is layered in several layers around a flexible resist then once layers are built up hot soapy water is added and then begins the work! Vessels are hand worked until firm and are shaped into the form. After the form is created I make a lid for most pieces. The lid is like a mini hat! It is also created with unspun wool roving around a resist then hand sculpted to create each unique shape. The lid sits inside the vessel and can be removed to take a peek inside.
