Description:
I am interested in abstract imagery incorporating concepts of scale, space and perspective. My mixed media paintings are adorned with a combination of thick acrylic paint, paper collage, litho crayons and occasionally fiber. I rely on gestural lines, repeated patterns and grids. I attempt to keep the work structured and expressive with a visual awareness of natural formations, reflections and microscopic details. Fiber infusing nylon thread directly into the canvas adds beautiful detail and a sense of permanency and reinforcement similar to that of hand quilting.
